The End of May

If I could upload a song to just one blog post, I would, but I don't know how and I don't really want to spend my time figuring it out. But here is what I have done to finish up the month of May!

I started to babysit for the Phillips on Friday afternoon.

On Saturday, we did a lot of activities! We drew with chalk and blew bubbles.

We went to the park with Megan. This is how she likes to swing.

I brought them to my house to have cobbler and they got to pet the chickens!

Then on Monday we celebrated Memorial Day like all Americans should! 

We went to a breakfast and listened to come Veterans speak about their experiences and honored them. It was a really cool experience!

Haha they really do teach us how to count in Heber....

On Tuesday, my day off, I went hiking with Megan, Nathan, and Nathan's friend McKay to Silver Lake. It was a fun hike.

Then I came home because I didn't feel well. Turns out I have strep. Oh so fun.

On Thursday, I went to the RME clogging show. It was so good and I miss clogging so much. SO MUCH! But it was awesome! I love RME!

The summer.

So this post covers May 19 to May 22. 

I work a lot. I am back into that groove. But I have done some fun things: on Tuesday, I went and helped at mom's preschool and we watched the 3rd graders play. It was a blast!:) They were so cute!! On Thursday, we ran over to watch Ellie clog, but we missed it. :( so, Jack and Ellie came home with us and then I went to Provo with McKenna! We tried to make it to the end of Roger's hockey game but it was over when we got there. Then we were going to a bonfire in Provo Canyon but McKenna and Roger were hungry so we went to The Pita Pit then to the bonfire. The fire was out and it was incredibly weird because I knew 1 other person there and everyone else were her friends.... It was just a strange situation. But I did enjoy myself hanging out with McKenna!!

May 18

Hung out with Ellie after church and then went to the Phillips house to receive babysitting instructions for this weekend. Then I went to te Kings house for a little bit. 

May 17

Saturday was eventful! 

It started off with going to see these cuties! We met at the park and hung out for like an hour. But we all got to see each other before Jess heads to Mexico! Then I went to Grandma's house and hung out and helped get all set up for the bridal shower.

Aubrey's bridal shower was fun.

Then Jennie came shopping with Mom and I. We found some size 17 shoes.

San Diego

Tyson and I went to San Diego with Dad and it was so fun! It was incredibly hot there though. Like hot for San Diego. They were burning up there in more than one way. (There are also a ton of fires.) We drove there, so on Sunday (May 11) we drove to St. George and stayed the night there. On Monday we drove all they way to San Diego. It was long. That night we swam at the hotel so Dad could do some work. 

Tuesday morning we woke up then headed to the San Diego Zoo. Tyson and I spent from 9 to about 2 there and it was REALLY hot! We were dying. 

Our favorite place to hang out in the zoo was the Aviary areas because they were shaded and a little cooler. 

After Dad picked us up from the zoo (when he was done working) we rode the ferry over to Coronado island to go see the Hotel Del Coronado. Turns out we were on the wrong side of the island, so we hiked across the island, like 5 miles, in the blazing heat. It was like 107 degrees. Then we stopped and got ice cream on our walk back across. 

On Wednesday we went to Sea World!!! I love Sea World! So much. It was still really hot. Actually, they had cancelled school in San Diego for the week because of the heat and the fires. :( Poor kids.

We only got wet on this water ride. (Even though we sat in the Splash Zone at every show.) This picture was the 3rd in a continuous shot and right as we got waterfalled on. 

Goodbye Sea World! It was also the 50th anniversary. 

On Thursday, before we left, we went to the beach! The waves were huge and there were sooo many surfers! Than we drove to Las Vegas. Well, sorta. We ran out of gas on the way home, just outside of San Diego. Haha Never a summer trip to Cali without running out of gas on the way home! ;) 

On Friday, we stopped at the Pawn Stars pawn shop in Vegas before we headed home. 

May 11: Happy Mothers' Day

I didn't take any pictures for today so I guess I will just use this one! :) I love my mom! She is the sweetest person I know!! She taught me everything I know and she continues to teach me everyday!! She is my best friend. My mom supports me in everything I do and I know (from experience) that she will drop whatever she is doing to help me with whatever I need! I don't know what I would do without her. Honestly, I don't know where I would be! I am so glad I was blessed to be sent to her to learn from! I love her!!

May 10

As we traditionally do, we went to brunch with the ladies In the Royall family! :) It was fun! Then Megan, Mom, and I went to Tiffany Merryweather's bridal shower. After that I went to work.

May 9th

First day back working with Lacey!! I can tell it is going to be a blast this summer! I am excited about the adventures we are going to have! After work, I went to Grandma Royall's house with Mom, Megan, McKayla, and Kaitlyn to eat dinner (Mom's delicious enchiladas) and watch a movie (One For The Money).

May 8th

After work, which was incredibly slow, I went shopping with Mom and Megan. 

May7th

I worked pretty much all day, it was pretty slow. But I got to see my friends!:) So the weather sucks. It is cold, really cold. And it is rainy and windy. We moved our baby chicks into our laundry room, which now smells like a farm and I spent the night watching home videos with my mom. It was hilarious!! The video was from when I was 2 months old until my 2nd birthday. I was the cutest and learned a lot about why I am the way I am. :)

Oh yeah, my dad named this video (21 years ago) SAMANTHA THE KID) I still love corn on the cob:)

May 6

Today I went to Echo with dad, grandma and grandpa Royall, and Kaitlyn to see a train. They were pulling it from California to Wyoming to get it working again! It was really cool and a bigger deal than I thought it would be. Then I went to work.

Cinco De Mayo

It is officially my first day of summer!! What a blast! I went to the Sacred Gifts art show with mom, dad, Tyson, and grandma and grandpa Anderson and it was AMAZING!! The spirit was so strong! All of those pictures of Jesus  Christ are really powerful. Then we went to Maria Bonitas. It's Mexican restaurant and it is super delicious. You get so much food and I only ate a couple bites because I practically ate my weight in fresh chips and salsa... They were super delicious!! Later, we had "family time" and watched 24: live another day! 

So much fooood...
